Vintage 2020
2020 was a vintage like no other—unpredictable weather, disrupted ripening, and low yields. Yet from the chaos came wines with remarkable concentration and vibrancy. Quality over quantity defined this challenging year, and we’re excited to share the results soon.
Vintage 2019
After a dry start, recent rains have soaked the soil and delayed bud burst. Frost risk lingers until October 31st, but a light frost caused no damage. Spring brings blooming wildflowers and active wildlife as vine growth gears up for a hopeful harvest ahead.
Vineyard Update 2019
Pruning wrapped up end of August. Early varieties will leaf by September, marking a fresh season start. After good winter rains, frost risk feels lower this year. Replanting phylloxera-affected vines and expanding the cherry orchard keep us busy ahead!
Vintage 2017
Under clear Yarra Valley skies, the 2024 vintage kicked off with promise. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are shining—thanks to a near-perfect season and the vineyard team’s expert timing and care.
Vintage 2017 – Will it ever begin?
Vintage 2025 is off to a slow start—Chardonnay’s still weeks from picking. Vineyard sampling is in full swing (great for steps!), and the winery’s prepped with new tanks, a fresh layout, and all gear cleaned and ready.
Countdown to Harvest
Flowering has begun in the vineyard—Chardonnay is nearly done, Merlot just starting. If the 120-day rule holds, we’ll be harvesting late Feb. Here’s hoping for a mild summer and a long, even growing season.
First Day of Spring in the Yarra Valley
Spring arrives with sunshine and something new — the release of our Wayward Child wines. This experimental range began in 2016, born from a desire to push boundaries and explore the unexpected.
Spring 2015
Winter’s done, and spring is waking the vineyard with fresh green shoots. Bottling of 2015 Inara Whites, Rosé, and 2014 reds is complete, with releases starting October 1. We’re prepping for vintage 2016—exciting times ahead!
