Chicago is a city I hold close to my heart, especially as my sister lived there for several years while we were based in Chile. During that time, it truly became our home away from home, and I’m excited to be returning this September to support our distributor, Novovino, during Aussie Wine Month.

Helen and I will join the Novovino team on September 12 and 13 to visit existing and prospective clients across the Chicago wine market. Earlier this year, we spent time exploring Chicago’s wine bars, bottle shops and hospitality scene while introducing Yarra Valley wines to local buyers and wine professionals.

The response to cool climate Australian wines, particularly Yarra Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, was incredibly positive. We enjoyed speaking with wine retailers, sommeliers and venue owners about the growing interest in premium Australian wine in Chicago.

One highlight of the trip was visiting Joe’s Wine Cellar in Wicker Park, where we connected with local wine lovers and discussed the Yarra Valley wine region and Re’em Yarra Valley wines.

We’ll also be attending the Aussie Wine Month Trade Show on September 23 at the Chicago Athletic Association, where Helen will represent Re’em Yarra Valley alongside the Novovino team.
