2021 Cabernet Blend, Yarra Valley, Victoria
Special: $30 a btl in any mixed 6
A perfumed blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Merlot, and Cabernet Franc that is bottled unfiltered and unfined to preserve its distinctive natural character. It’s a medium-bodied red wine, it reveals herbal notes, dark fruits, and charcuterie flavours, leaning toward a savoury profile.
85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot
2021 began with a cool spring and early rainfall, but mild and stable conditions followed, promoting even flowering and healthy canopies. The warm, dry finish to the season, combined with well-timed rains, made 2021 a standout vintage for structured, balanced reds like Cabernet Sauvignon.
E and F Blocks offer ideal conditions for red varieties. E Block’s north–south orientation and shaley, sandy loam soils provide balanced sun exposure and excellent drainage, enhancing structure in Merlot and Cabernet. F Block, planted on rootstock and facing east–west, features mature vines that contribute depth and refined tannins.
A savoury, medium-bodied red blend from one of the best vintages in recent memory. Dark cherry, charcuterie, chocolate, and spice unfold with fine tannins and subtle oak. Approachable and versatile, it offers freshness, finesse, and impressive balance.
Rich and savoury with layers of dark cherry, black current, blue berry and hints of spice, smoke and chocolate supported by fine tannins and a smooth oak influence.
Ideal for grilled ribeye steak, smoked brisket, aged cheddar, blue cheese or gamey meats.
