Tasting note: A blend of 90% estate-grown Merlot and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine has aromas of ripe plum, dark chocolate and redcurrant from the Merlot. The Cabernet sauvignon not only provides blackcurrant flavours but also adds some fine-grained tannins to the blend.
The 2017 Inara Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon should be enjoyed in its youth to take full advantage of the bright fruit aromas and flavours. That said, ageing over the next 3-5 years will only add to the complexity of the wine.
