The 2018 Alena Chardonnay abides by our driving force of power, strength and elegance.  The oak is initially evident on the nose but as the wine opens aromas of just ripe peach, pear and flint begin to develop.  This is reflected on the palate with toasty, integrated oak supported by just ripe stone fruit characters and a long, lingering minerality.

The restraint on this wine suggests it will continue to age and improve in bottle.  The multi-award winning 2015 Alena Chardonnay is testimony to this.  Our Alena wines are designed to be drunk with some age on them but if you can’t wait, enjoy the 2018 Alena Chardonnay with skewers of Parmesan cheese and pear.
