As Mother’s Day approaches, families across the Yarra Valley gather to celebrate the most important woman in their lives – Mum. Here at Helen & Joey Estate, we think there’s no better way to honour her than with premium wine, good food, and a moment to relax among the vines.

In honour of the day, we turned to two of our favourite mums – Katherine and Meg – for their thoughts on motherhood, wine, and the little joys in life.

Katherine, who balances her life between family and work, believes in the power of carving out simple pleasures.

“Motherhood taught me to celebrate the small wins – like a quiet moment, a hug out of nowhere, or a properly decanted bottle of Chardonnay.”

Meg, a longtime local and fellow lover of the Yarra Valley, says the region offers the perfect backdrop for life’s big and small celebrations.

“I love sharing a bottle of wine with my kids – now that they’re grown up, of course. It’s not just about the wine; it’s about the stories that come with it.”
